Comments About Warmwell Ski Centre

Ann Bamforth - 19/11/2002 The instruction we received here was not as good as what we got in Switzerland.  (Also supplied the above details.)
Jon Schofield - 14/2/2003 (Supplied further details above) - I don't know where the grit and algae come from!!  In my opinion it is one of the cleanest slopes in the country!!
Steve Thornton - 27/02/2003 I recently visited this place (Feb 2003) and I have to say, I wasn't overly impressed.  People who had not skied before were hiring equipment and going out on the slope, with the obvious dangers to themselves and others.  The equipment too was in very poor shape.  The boots in particular were awful.  The ski selection by the staff was very bad too.  One bloke, who must have been 6 foot 3 inches tall, was on a pair of 130cm ski's!!  The slope was quite bad too, with many repaired sections.  The sprinkler system was also out of action at the top of the slope, so it was very hard to get going.  On the whole, its OK for a bit of fun during your holiday, but not for serious out of season practice.  Don't make a long trip to visit this slope.  You'll be very disappointed!!
Jon Schofield 20/03/2003 I must have a stalker!!  The Jon Schofield above is not me, but my name is Jon Schofield!!  Just to put a few points straight, I am a member here so I think I know what I am talking about.  The slope re-opened on 14th February 2003 and now has some new equipment (ski's boots and boards).  The sprinkler system that wasn't very good at the top has now been serviced and is working fine.  The surface does have some patches in it, but there are no rips in the surface.  Plans are afoot to renew the surface in the near future.  I hope this settles a few of the above statements.
