Comments About Midlothian Ski Centre

Kathryn Byers - 09/01/2001 Above comments supplied by
Brian Russell 12/9/2002 I learned to ski here.  As dry slopes go, it's pretty good.  The main slope is 400m long and that used to be Europe's longest, and is served by a chairlift and a T-Bar.   The top third of the longest run is very steep, and is very interesting to navigate when wet!!  The slope is floodlit and open until about 9pm. -   Oh Yes, by the way the "Hillend Thumb" is so named as the centre is known locally as Hillend, and the thumb bit comes from the injury that you get when you fall on Dendix!!!
