Please Note - I have removed the comments posted
by - Michael O'Sullivan - 14/4/2002 as it seems that he had
either got the wrong venue, or just wanted to put down Knockhatch for some reason. |

I am a frequent visitor to Knockhatch Ski & Snowboard Centre, and I
believe it to be one of the best in the country. It is ideal for both beginners and
advanced skiers. I myself am an instructor for dry slopes, and think that it is
reasonably priced and well set out. I will be attending this site for many seasons
to come. The new matting is used on the 120m main run, and its a very kind
surface. I would recommend anyone to try this place out. Also with reference
to the comments posted below, I have been to KnockHatch and haven't noticed the nozzles
sticking out of the slope. And the equipment they use now have been up-dated to
carving ski's. |

I have just found your Website, and in particular, the comments posted
below. I have to disagree with Michael's comments. I go ski-ing here about twice per
month and have never been given 15 year old ski's!! The ski's we were supplied with
were Salomon Verse Ski's in very good condition, and the matting is in good condition as
compared to some Dendix slopes I have been to recently!! |

Knockhatch is a brilliant park and run by very friendly and caring
staff. Their new dry ski slope has proved a great success. I speak as a local
teacher who would like to thank all the staff at Knockhatch for giving so many children
the opportunity to experience ski-ing prior to going on the annual ski trip, and as an
experienced skier who loves the place. |

Knockhatch is moving ahead and now have a ski shop with the latest ski's,
boards, boots and clothes. They also have a fully equipped servicing facility.
These two new things are located in the clubhouse, which also offers refreshments. |

I would like to add that Knockhatch is a family run ski
centre, and brings with it all the nuances that this entails, which, I
believe, adds to the wonderful atmosphere of the centre. They treat
you like an extension of the family. I would recommend anyone who is
looking to take up the sport or improve their abilities, to give Knockhatch
a try. Hope to see some new faces when I am up there next!! |
